Tourism
Tolosa is said in Occitan, the local language. Toulouse, dear to Nougaro, is the largest city in the southwest and is considered the Capital of Occitania. After Paris, Marseille and Lyon, the city of Toulouse is the 4th most populated city in France.
The Pink City
Toulouse owes its nickname Ville Rose (pronounced avè the accent) to its very specific architecture, the terracotta brick whose colour is close to pink. In Toulouse, terracotta brick has been the traditional material since Roman times. Indeed, all along the Garonne, the river that marries Toulouse, there is a clay bed that once prevented stone from being worked. By firing the clay, the brick is similar to pink because of its composition.
